Financial Literacy Group published a study comparing an indexed universal life policy with a 401(k) and an IRA under the updated rules for cash-value life insurance. The release itself attributes the change to the CARES Act; the amendment to IRS Section 7702 was part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, signed in December 2020 and effective for policies issued from January 1, 2021.
